The Hell’s Revenge Trail is famous for its breathtaking views and thrilling terrain, making it one of the most popular adventures in Moab. While the trail does feature steep inclines, declines, and some cliffs, these elements are precisely what make the experience so unique and memorable.

The UTVs are easy to drive, but it’s important that the driver feels comfortable handling the terrain and doesn’t have a fear of heights. If you’re not easily spooked and are ready for an adventure, you’ll do just fine! Rest assured, your safety is our top priority. Our tours are not fast-paced—we take things slow and steady to ensure everyone enjoys the journey.

You’ll also have the guidance of an experienced Moab Tourism Center guide who will lead the way, provide instructions, and help you navigate the trail with confidence.

Important Note: Drivers must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.

Yes, some hiking is required during the tour. All guests must be able to participate in short walks and hikes to fully experience the incredible sights of Arches National Park. Since we keep the group together throughout the tour, participation in the hikes is essential and cannot be optional.

That said, the total hiking distance is under 2 miles for the entire tour. Most hikes are approximately 1/4 mile, with the longest hike being 1.2 miles. The hikes are designed to be manageable and will take you to some of the park’s most iconic and breathtaking landmarks.

Rest assured, these hikes are well worth it and add to the unforgettable experience of exploring this natural wonder!

Absolutely! We offer a private 4×4 tour designed exclusively for you and your family. This unforgettable experience lasts approximately 3 hours and accommodates up to 7 people, making it perfect for creating lasting memories together.

You’ll have the option to choose from several exciting routes, including our most popular destination, the Hell’s Revenge Trail, or alternative routes tailored to your preferences. The tour is fully customized, ensuring a personalized adventure with the undivided attention of our experienced and professional guide.

For our 4x4 tours, the minimum age requirement is 3 years old. Children aged 3–5 must have their own car seat, which you’ll need to bring with you. We recommend arriving about 20 minutes early to ensure the car seat is securely installed. For children aged 5–7, we provide booster seats as needed, depending on the child’s height, to ensure their safety and comfort.

For adults, there is no specific weight limit; however, participants must fit securely in a standard seat belt inside the UTV. If you’re uncertain about the fit, we encourage you to stop by the day before your trip to test the seat belt for peace of mind.

For our scenic tours in Arches National Park, the minimum age is 5 years old, and there is no weight limit. Guests simply need to fit comfortably in a standard seat and be able to use a standard seat belt.

Absolutely! We offer other trail options that may be a better fit for you. One great alternative is our Hurrah Pass Tour. While the terrain on Hurrah Pass is less steep than the Hell’s Revenge Trail, it does include canyon walls with steep cliffs, so it may not be ideal for those with a fear of heights. The trail begins as a dirt road and transitions into a scenic dirt trail, offering a more moderate off-road experience. You can find more details about this tour here.

If you’re looking for something more relaxed and informative, our Petroglyph Tour is another fantastic option. This 2-hour tour is perfect for small groups of 2–4 guests, who will ride as passengers with our experienced guide. It’s a fun, low-key adventure where you’ll get to explore and learn about fascinating petroglyphs in the area.

No matter which option you choose, we’ll ensure your experience is enjoyable and tailored to your comfort level!

If rain is in the forecast, we may be able to reschedule your tour. Please call the Moab Tourism Center at (435) 259-0959 to discuss your options.

For our 4x4 tours, rain can actually enhance the experience for adventurous guests! Raindrops create glistening puddles, and you may even get the chance to see stunning waterfalls or rainbows along the trail. If you’re up for the thrill, we recommend going on the tour and embracing the unique beauty rain can bring. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather by bringing jackets, gloves, glasses or goggles, and blankets if needed. We’ll also provide rain ponchos to keep you comfortable.

For our scenic tours in Arches National Park, rain ponchos are provided, and we recommend bringing an umbrella for additional protection. Please note that rain can sometimes limit the tour, with hiking portions potentially being shortened due to weather conditions.

Rain or shine, we’re committed to making your tour as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

We offer FREE CANCELLATION when you notify us at least 48 hours before your tour’s scheduled arrival time. For added flexibility, we also provide Trip Protection for a nominal fee. This option allows you to cancel your trip for any reason up to 1 hour before departure, with a full refund of your ticket price (minus the Trip Protection cost and any processing fees).

Our tours run from March 1st to November 30th, offering unforgettable experiences during the prime adventure seasons. During the winter months, while tours are not in operation, our office remains available to assist you by phone or email.

To make the most of your experience, we recommend bringing a few essentials depending on the season and type of tour.

For our 4x4 Tours, all drivers must bring a valid driver’s license. Additionally, if you’re joining our Sunset Tour, sunglasses are a must for drivers to reduce glare during the late afternoon.

Don’t forget to bring a camera or phone to capture the stunning scenery and unforgettable moments along the way!

Dressing appropriately for the weather is also important:

• Summer Months: Wear a hat, sunglasses, and apply sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Don’t worry about hydration—we provide plenty of ice-cold water to keep you refreshed on the trail.
• Cooler Days: Dress in layers to stay warm and comfortable. Jackets, gloves, hats, and even a blanket can be helpful on chilly days.

Good footwear is essential, especially if your tour includes hiking. Sturdy shoes with good grip will help prevent slipping and ensure your comfort throughout the adventure.

Unfortunately, we do not offer shuttle or pick-up services. Guests are required to meet us at the Moab Tourism Center, located at 606 South Main Street, approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time.

We have convenient parking available in our lot, and additional street parking can be found along Kane Creek Blvd.

For those seeking local transportation, Moab offers a FREE shuttle service through the Moab Area Transit (MAT) pilot program. This fare-free service provides residents and visitors with easy and convenient transportation options around town. For more details, visit: Moab Area Transit Information.

For our 4x4 tours, the experience is a ‘U-Drive’ adventure, where you take control of the vehicle. The Hell’s Revenge Trail includes steep inclines, descents, and challenging terrain, requiring your full focus to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. While we adore animals, the nature of this trail makes it unsuitable for pets or service animals, as any distractions could impact safety.

For our scenic tours in Arches National Park, our operating permit unfortunately does not allow pets to join the tours.

Yes, all participants are required to sign a waiver upon check-in. Adults must sign their own waiver, and parents or legal guardians must sign on behalf of their children.

Please note that many of our tours and activities involve inherent risks. By signing the waiver, you acknowledge these risks and agree to assume full responsibility for them. This step ensures that everyone is fully informed and prepared to enjoy their adventure.

For the safety of our passengers, all guests must have upper body strength with the ability to hold themselves up during the tour. Guests are responsible for getting themselves in and out of our vehicles for their tour.

Drones are not allowed in National Parks or in the specific Bureau of Land Management resource areas where we operate our trips. Therefore, The Walter Corporation/Moab Tourism Center does not allow the use of drones on any trips.
