RESERVATIONS ARE NOW REQUIRED TO ENTER ARCHES NATIONAL PARK

Over two million people visit Moab each year. The popular desert tourist destination is known as an outdoor mecca. With jaw-dropping views, unparalleled landscapes, and dozens of outdoor activities at your fingertips, Moab is a must when visiting Utah. Located only 4 miles from the entrance to Arches National Park, and 30 miles east of Canyonlands National Park, Moab is a centralized hub for visitors who want to explore Utah’s natural beauty.

Moab’s most popular destination is Arches National Park. The park has the densest collection of natural stone arches in the entire world. With over 2,000 natural stone arches, the park is a wonderland for those looking to explore an area of natural beauty. Arches National Park is home to sky-high pinnacles, giant rock fins, and huge balanced rocks. The varying textures and colors throughout the park make it unlike anywhere else on Earth.

If you plan to visit Arches National Park from April 1st through October 31st, and are driving your own vehicle into the park, you need to make a reservation in order to enter the park between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. You don’t need a reservation to enter the park outside of those hours. Reservations can be made three months in advance. The National Parks Service lists when each month’s reservations will be available here. While there are a limited number of next-day tickets available, these are expected to sell out quickly each day. The only guaranteed way to enter the park while driving and parking your own vehicle within the hours above, is with a reserved ticket.

If you are unable to secure a reservation, or don’t want to worry about driving while taking in the sights of Arches National Park, you may want to consider booking a guided tour. Moab Tourism Center can help you find a tour provider that works best for your needs and budget. As a full-service Moab tour company, we are extremely well-versed in the local area, and can help you plan your entire trip, not just your time on our tours.

We think everyone should experience the Moab hills in a 4×4, and it’s even better when done on our Hell’s Revenge T-Rex tour. This family-friendly tour takes you through the rocky hills, down canyons, and even stops by fossilized dinosaur tracks.

If you’re craving adventure, Moab Tourism Center is ready to make your trip to Moab unforgettable. After all, this is where adventure begins.
